New School Year at UA Mriya Ukrainian School in Galway
The First Day of the New School Year at UA Mriya Ukrainian Saturday School in Galway
Last Saturday marked the beginning of a new school year at UA Mriya Ukrainian Saturday School in Galway. After the summer break, our school was once again filled with learning, creativity, new friendships and the sound of children enjoying being together.
It was an exciting day for our returning pupils and an especially memorable one for our youngest children, who experienced their very first day at UA Mriya.
Ukrainian Language, Literature and History
Throughout the new school year, our pupils will continue learning Ukrainian language, literature, history and culture.
UA Mriya offers classes for children of different ages and levels:
- Grade 1 - 2;
- Grade 3;
- Grades 4–5;
- Grades 6–7;
- Grade 8.
Our classes give Ukrainian children living in Ireland an opportunity to develop their Ukrainian language skills, learn more about the history and culture of Ukraine, and remain connected to their Ukrainian heritage.
Creative Classes at UA Mriya
Alongside our academic programme, our creative activities have also returned for the new school year. Children can take part in:
- Theatre;
- Dance;
- Vocal classes;
- Art classes.
Art is a new addition to the UA Mriya programme this year. Through theatre, music, dance and visual art, children can explore their creativity, develop new skills and confidence, and make new friends.
A Special Day for Our Youngest Pupils
The beginning of the school year was particularly special for our youngest pupils, who joined our school for the first time.
Meeting their teachers and classmates and taking part in their first lessons marked the beginning of a new experience within our Ukrainian school community.
At UA Mriya, we aim to create a welcoming environment where children can learn, communicate in Ukrainian, build friendships and maintain a strong connection with Ukraine and its culture.
Thank You to Our Community
We sincerely thank our children for their enthusiasm and energy, our parents for their trust and support, and our teachers for their care, dedication and passion for what they do.
Our first school day was full of learning, creativity and a warm community atmosphere. We look forward to a year filled with new knowledge, creative projects, performances and shared experiences.
See you next Saturday at UA Mriya!
